3. Location Data
Location is core to Naybar. Your location determines what content you see and who can see your content. You control your spatial presence through:
- Radius Settings: Choose visibility range from 10m to 10km
- Mode Selection: Local (live GPS) or Explorer (manual location)
- Content Types: Drop Posts stay at fixed locations; Carry Posts move with you
We use your location to:
- Display nearby posts, people, geonotes, and local chat messages
- Determine distance-based visibility for your content
- Show your bounds status (in range / out of range) to contacts
- Enable location-locked features like geonotes and Drop Posts
Location Control: You can disable location access at any time through device settings, but this will limit platform functionality. Explorer Mode allows browsing without live GPS.
